My Angel Voice

Angels then are quite fantastic beings.

Of unbridled compassion, intelligent, pure.

They speak to us in their own fashion

With words the soul alone can hear.

Moments when we sense their whispers

Seemed magically brief, beyond belief.

Closer to the divine in their existence

They serve by knowing every need.

We sometimes listen but often not

Ignoring our wisdom from afar

Mistaking their voices as our own thoughts

And not hearing them as it were.

Their murmurs set intention.

Their sighs deliver light.

Their thoughts create invention

Both What is real and what might.

We often feel that we are here alone

Not knowing of the soul we own

Each message is a seed now sown

To blossom when the soul has grown.

If you knew who walks beside you

Then it would be impossible for you to fear.

If you knew what lives down deep inside you

Then each Angel whisper you would hear.

I’d like some day to be an Angel of your soul

And watch over you, guarding every move.

To talk with you and make you whole

With my whispers divine love to prove.

Just for now, I am but one man

And if you listen it will be your choice

And I can only do the best I can

Until I gain my Angel voice.
